Spotlight on New Books is an initiative launched by the China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair (CCBF) in 2025 to foster global exchange and promote the international reach of high-quality original children's books, establishing a premier launchpad focused on the Asia-Pacific region with global resonance.
For its inaugural edition, the platform has selected 300 new titles for the year from Chinese and international publishing houses, which are showcased in a core area of the fair. All selected works will gain visibility among publishers, copyright agents, distributors, and media through a blend of online promotional campaigns and onsite exhibition, helping them access both domestic and global market efficiently.
Furthermore, the platform will feature its first selection of outstanding original Chinese works at the 2026 Bologna Children's Book Fair, with the aim of fostering copyright collaborations, expanding global distribution channels and promoting Chinese original content worldwide.
