Joan Negrescolor (Barcelona, 1978) is a Spanish graphic designer and illustrator. He graduated in illustration from the Massana School in 2003 and holds a Master in Children’s Literature from IENA School.
He began his career working for cultural institutions, newspapers and advertisement companies. Later he started developed a strong interest for picture books. In 2017, he published his first book A Cidade dos Animais (Animal City), which received the Golden Pinwheel International Young Illustrators Award (2017) and the Junceda Award (2018). It was also included in the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition and the White Ravens catalogue.
