What is the best illustration in the 2020 Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition? Your turn has come to decide! Starting from today until the closure of CCBF on 15 November, everyone is invited to throw a ballot in the CCBF People's Choice Award. 

The People’s Choice award-winner is elected among the 50 finalists announced back in September. 

Those 50 artists hailing from 16 countries made their way up to shortlist over a total of 2,238 participants. The finalists’ artworks will be exhibited at the Fair and featured in the Golden Pinwheel Yearbook. 

How to vote for the People’s Choice Award?

-  Online voting (5–15 November): Visit the Golden Pinwheel Gallery on the competition’s official website and chose your favourite artist in just one click.
-  At the Fair (13–15 November): Visit the Golden Pinwheel Illustration Exhibition and scan the QR code attached to your favourite artwork. 
-  Wherever you are, no matter your age, anyone is entitled to participate in this election! The results of the vote will be announced on the CCBF website on 16 November.

Golden Pinwheel Award-winner announcement 
Chen Hui (China), Sunkyung Cho (Korea),Simon de Jocas (Canada), Philip Giordano (Italy) and Jiu’er (China)—are close to finalise their work as 2020 Golden Pinwheel Jurors. In just a few days, they will determine the winners of the Golden Pinwheel special awards: one Grand Award (China), one Grand Award (International) and three Special Mentions. 

The five lucky winners will be announced over a ceremony taking place at the CCBF Illustrators Corner on Saturday 14 November, 16:15. Join us on this occasion and be the first to discover the winners’ list.

Sneak peek into the Golden Pinwheel Yearbook 
All 50 finalists are featured in the 2020 CCBF Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition Yearbook, an elegant catalogue which will also be presented at the 2020 Golden Pinwheel Illustration Exhibition held at the book fair from 13 to 15 November.

We are proud to share with you for the first time the cover of 2020 CCBF Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition Yearbook.

Ekaterina Metelitsyna, is an illustrator, graphic designer based in Tula, Russia. She is one of the 50 finalists of the competition. The cover is part of her seriesHypnosis Ivanovich, a story for children in which fantasy and imagination express the real experiences of a teenager. The main characters of this story are a boy called Yura and his mentor, the psychologist Hypnosis Ivanovich. The illustrations are part of a multi-page story made for a graduation project.

From today, every online gallery visitor is able to vote in the People's Choice Award. The winner of the People's Choice Award will be announced on 16 November.
