Focusing on the Cultural Exchange: CCBF Implements Five Featured Areas
Apart from dedicated areas for renowned worldwide publishing luminaries such as the BOP – Bologna Prize Lounge, Strega Prize Lounge, the CCBF has also opened the Asia Pacific New Entry Lounge for selected publishing houses from the Asia Pacific region. These publishers are known for their exceptional editorial work, many of whom have been shortlisted for the Bologna awards. Additionally, the CCBF Rights Centre warmly welcomes Literary Agents and Scouts, providing them with a comprehensive 360° CCBF experience. In an innovative move, the CCBF will establish the Original Edition Books Centre to showcase the finest books available for direct import and distribution in China. Domestic book distributors, book retailers, libraries, book stores, picture book stores and international schools will be invited to curate their selection on-site.
Facts and Figures of CCBF 2023
In 2023, CCBF brought together 478 leading publishers and children's content players from 25 different countries and territories, such as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Singapore, and the UK. The CCBF is consisted of stands and booths from 155 companies, with 323 Chinese publishing key players. In just three days, the fair attracted a total of 42,733 visitors, among them 19,086 professionals in the industry.
